This entry, the first in a long time is to remind the formidable writer Mario Benedetti
died over the weekend. Benedetti was one of the best writers who has taken Latin America, his poems are stories of everyday life, full of situations that we all pass.
was one of the first poets to read and has since been my favorite.
The world lost a wonderful thing.
Here is a poem about him. Chau
number three
I leave you with your life, your job
your people with your sunsets and your amane
ceres. Planting your confidence
I leave next to impossible
defeating world safe
uninsured. I leave
oceanfront single
descifrándote blind without my question without my answer
broken.
I leave without my doubts
badly hurt poor and without my immaturities
without my seniority.
Nor blindly believe everything you believe Never believe
this false abandonment.
I'll be where you least expect it
such an old tree with dark
pitching.
I'll be in a far horizon without hours
in the footprint of touch
in your shadow and my shadow.
be vested in four or five of those kids that you
you look and then follow you.
And hopefully I can be your dream
network
waiting and watching your eyes.
Mario Benedetti.
